Commissioner takes on state board chairman role
Butler County commissioner Kevin Boozel has been chosen as board chairman of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP).
Officials of the association elected new administrators during its 135th annual conference, according to a news release from the CCAP.
The elected members, including Boozel, who is the current president of the association, will take their positions Jan. 1, 2022.
CCAP is a statewide nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing all 67 counties in Pennsylvania. Members include county commissioners, council members, county executives, administrators, chief clerks and solicitors. The association strengthens counties' abilities to govern their own affairs and improve the well-being and quality of life for every Pennsylvania resident, according to the news release.
