Katherine Ellen “Kathy” Lefever, 83, of Harmony, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021, while under the care of The Grove at Harmony.

Born April 28, 1938, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of her late adoptive mother, Mary Justice.

Kathy was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 499 in Evans City.

She enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Joyce Powers and Jackie Caito; her stepson, James Piper; her stepdaughter-in-law, Barbara Checkan; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kathy was preceded in death by her son; a stepson; a brother; and her beloved, Charles Checkan.

LEFEVER — Services for Katherine Ellen “Kathy” Lefever, who died Tuesday, June 29, 2021, will be held privately.

She will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
