11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 14, Muddy Creek Oil Field Living History Exhibit, Moraine State Park.

9 a.m. to noon Aug. 14, Volunteer Work Day, Kildoo Picnic Area, McConnells Mill State Park. Meet at the Kildoo Picnic Area.

6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 17, Dog Days of Summer Hike, Pleasant Valley Non-Motorized Launch Area, South Shore, Moraine State Park. Bring your dog and join the park naturalist for an organized, guided 1.90-mile hike on the Pleasant Valley Trail.

6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 19, Kayak Games, Pleasant Valley Non-Motorized Launch, South Shore, Moraine State Park. Ages 12 and up, younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Life jackets are required to be worn. Reservations are required and open Aug. 5. Call the park office 724-368-8811.
