Richard “Dood” Downing, 66, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 20, 2021.

He was born on Sept. 7, 1954, and was the son of the late Clarence and Margaret (Walsh) Downing.

Richard was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after three years of service.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.Richard was loved by all, and will be greatly missed.He was the brother of Brenda Minto, Kathy Ostwinch and Cris McClaine.Richard is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and his companion, RaeAnn Dick.DOWNING — Friends of Richard “Dood” Downing, who died Sunday, June 20, 2021, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at SPENCER D.
