Willa M. Smay
Willa M. “Billie” Smay, 101, of Cabot, passed away on June 21, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born April 11, 1920, in Cabot, she was the daughter of Albert Warnick and Margaret Moser Warnick.
Billie worked as a press operator for Du-Co Ceramics, retiring in 1983 after 17 years.
She was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the former Sarver Community Choir, Saxonburg American Legion Auxiliary, and volunteered at the Cabot Food Bank.
Surviving are her children, Howard Leroy (Kay) Smay of Milford, Ohio, Gary (Joyce) Smay of Butler, and Elaine (Bill) Mullineaux of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Scott Smay, Heather Fudala, Michelle Shene, Eric Smay, Lauren Tanji and Cathy Robbins; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard E. Smay one grandson, Christopher Smay; two brothers, Howard Warnick and Jack Warnick; and one sister, Helen Cypher.
SMAY — Friends of Willa M. “Billie” Smay, who died Monday, June 21, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cabot United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Gerber officiating.
Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
