Robert E. Kopie
Robert E. Kopie, 84, of Butler, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1936, in Butler, he was a son of the late Pete and Anna (Uram) Kopie.
Robert retired from David J. Joseph Co. as a plant foreman following 45 years of service. Robert along with his wife, Elizabeth, also ran a TV sales and service business, which they worked during the evening hours for 25 years.
Robert and Betsy enjoyed dancing anywhere they could dance, and were members of the Tanglewood Center in Lyndora.
During his youth, he did Cossack dancing for St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, where he was a lifetime member. He also enjoyed golfing, and especially time with his family.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War.Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth (Betsy Erdos) Kopie, the love of his life, whom he married June 22, 1963; two daughters, Tina Pounds and Lynn (Kenneth) Campbell, both of Butler; and four grandchildren, Jina and Joseph Pounds, and Kaitlyn and Nathan Campbell.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; a sister; and a son-in-law.KOPIE — Visitation and services for Robert E.
