Man being treated for mental illness missing
Nicholas Foster
County detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who escaped from a county facility where he was being treated for mental health issues.
Nicholas Foster, 32, is a white man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 176 pounds, with hazel or brown eyes.
At noon Wednesday, he was reported to be in the area of Smithfield Street and the Boulevard of the Allies in Pittsburgh and may still be in that area, said a news release from county detectives.
He has been without his medications since Sunday.
Detectives stress that Foster’s case is not a criminal matter, but a mental health issue.
Anyone who sees Foster should not approach him, but should call 911 to report his location to law enforcement.
