Christmas in July comes to Cranberry water park

CRANBERRY TWP — Oh, the weather outside is frightful.

Sure, it’s for the exact opposite of the reasons cited in “Let it Snow” — humidity and high temperatures as opposed to flakes and frigidity — but that won’t stop Cranberry Township from hosting a Christmas in July celebration on July 30 at the Cranberry Township Community Waterpark.

Cranberry’s Christmas in July is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. July 30, where guests are invited to wear their most festive swimsuits and join the out-of-season fun.

Holiday music will be played throughout the day, and Cranberry mascot CT will be in attendance to spread holiday cheer. There’s also a rumor that Jolly Old Saint Nick himself may stop by.

Water park memberships for the 2022 season will also be on sale that day, offering the biggest discount of the year.

A Cranberry Township EMS crew will also be on hand to kick off the annual Stuff an Ambulance initiative. Water park visitors are asked to bring an unwrapped toy that will be donated this holiday season to Toys for Tots.

Those who donate will be entered into a drawing to win free water park guest passes for the 2021 season.

While the EMS crew are at the water park, they will demonstrate a water-rescue with the water park lifeguards at 1:45 p.m.
