Bonnie Jo (Applebee) Wallace, 75, of Slippery Rock passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital after a prolonged illness.

Bonnie was born on June 4, 1946, in Ashtabula, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Effie and Horace Grossman and William R. Applebee.

Bonnie was devoted to her family. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, her adored dog, Levi, and a good cup of coffee. Bonnie was a homemaker, proudly raising her four children as well as being a nanny and caregiver to many beloved children and elderly. She was a lifelong member of the Branchton United Methodist Church.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Clarence “Chip” Wallace and his wife, Linda, of Mohall, N.D.; and her three daughters, Donna McFadden and her husband, David, of Chester Springs, Pa., Doreen Angerett and her husband, Paul, of Butler and Darla Gresgott and her husband, Mark, of Slippery Rock. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her sisters, Mary Spence and Dale Miller, and her brothers, John, Joseph and Marvin Grossman, and many nieces and nephews complete Bonnie’s family.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 55 years, Clarence R. Wallace. Bonnie was welcomed into heaven not only by her husband and parents but two great-grandsons, Jack and Elon; her brothers, Harold, Horace and Kenneth Grossman; and very close family friends, Raymond and Eva Walter.

Wallace — Family of Bonnie Jo (Applebee) Wallace,who died Saturday, June 19, 2021, will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Jamison McKinley Funeral Home, 117 North Main St., Harrisville. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home at 7 p.m. with Pastor Dan Miller, officiating.

A private family burial will take place at Mount Varnum Cemetery on Friday.
