Freda Jean Ekey, 66, of Evans City, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born Jan. 31, 1955, in Butler, she was the daughter of Roberta Chambers Hageter and the late Ronald E. Hageter.

Freda was employed by Butler Technologies as a printer, and left there in 2008 due to health issues. She loved nature and being outdoors, and especially enjoyed camping. She was a talented artist. Freda was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan, and she enjoyed going to concerts.

She will be fondly remembered and lovingly remembered.

Freda leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Roberta Hageter of Evans City; her sisters, Claudia Fogelman of Indianapolis, Ind., and Sherry Dean of Butler; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
