Center Township outdoor sound ordinance tabled
CENTER TWP — Center Township supervisors tabled a motion to implement an outdoor entertainment ordinance at Wednesday's meeting.
The ordinance would have put limits on the use of sound systems at amplified events in the township, but the supervisors decided some of the language of the proposed ordinance needed to be amended so it does not have unintended effects on the residents of the township.
The amended ordinance will have to be advertised once written.
Supervisor chairman Ron Flatt said members of the community spoke at Monday's agenda setting meeting about tweaks in language to make the ordinance more specific.
Supervisor vice chairman Phil Wulff said in the meeting the officials “want to get this right.”
Also at the meeting, the supervisors approved a motion to advertise a bid to replace a guardrail on Henricks Road.
