Cyril Geibel

Cyril “Pete” Geibel, 88, of Butler, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021.

He was born in Butler on March 1, 1933, and was the son of the late Thomas and Anna Geibel.

He worked at Castle Rubber for more than 44 years. After retirement he worked for Festive Tents for 12 years. He was a charter member of the Happy Hunters Sportsman Club and a fraternal member of the Order of Eagles, as well as being very active at Crosswinds Alliance Church. Pete enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and following sports. Above all else, he loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He was the beloved husband of Darlene (Foster) Geibel; father of Kenneth (Cathy) Geibel, Peggy (Scott) Johns, Leonard (Cherie) Geibel; brother of Sylvia Kildoo and Norma O’Donnell; grandfather of Karen, Keith, Steven, Jennifer, Jason, and Craig; great-grandfather of Braden, Owen, Hunter, Cole, Winston, Camille, Joey, Emmitt; stepfather of David (Tracy) Boyle and Stephen (Lisa) Boyle. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, Savannah, Haley, Timara, Hunter, Colin, Carter, Kenzee, and a large and loving family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Edward and Patty Geibel; his brother Thomas Geibel; his first wife, Norma Geibel; and stepgrandson, Cole.

Geibel — A memorial service for Cyril “Pete” Geibel, who died Friday, June 11, 2021, will be held at Crosswinds Alliance Church.

A celebration of life service will be held at Happy Hunters Sportsman Club at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crosswinds Alliance Church.
