Yva L. Schoerner

Yva L. Schoerner, 95, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021, with her sons at her side at Concordia at Cabot.

She was born July 16, 1925, in Export, and was the daughter of the late Donald Cameron and Sarah Elizabeth (Alexander) Lynch.

Yva had worked for 25 years for the claims department of Nationwide.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Gideon Auxiliary.

She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons, Richard (Tracy) Cypher of North Carolina, and Randal (Linda) Cypher of Butler; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Esther Stephens of Aliquippa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harry D. Cypher, who died Sept. 3, 1980, and her second husband, William F. Schoerner, who passed Feb. 9, 2004; her daughter, Donna Pattie; a grandson; and a sister, Verlee Fischer.

SCHOERNER — Friends of Yva L. Schoerner, who died Friday, June 4, 2021, will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. David M. Phillips officiating.

Private interment will be held in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Butler.
