Robert A. Stewart, 89, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away on Sunday morning, May 30, 2021, in the comfort of his home.

Born Nov. 16, 1931, in Red Bank, Armstrong County, he was the son of the late Don and Margaret Jones Stewart.

He was a 1949 graduate of Dayton High School, and a 1959 graduate of Slippery Rock University.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955.Bob had worked in glass research for PPG for 32½ years.He was a former member of Dorseyville Alliance Church, and was recently a member of LifePointe Alliance Church, where he volunteered with the “Odd Jobbers.” He was a “Jack of all trades,” and spent his life helping others.Words from family to describe Bob's life include faithful, deliberate, witty, hard worker, giving, hero, humble, generous, methodical, warm-hearted, jokester, thorough, devoted, meticulous, appreciative, goofy, intentional, loving husband, and wonderful dad and grandpa.Surviving are his wife, Ruby Shick Stewart, whom he married on March 29, 1958; three daughters, Darnell Stewart Martino (Chris) of Baden, Deanne Smith (Charles) of Allison Park, and Dinita Feather (Timothy) of Azerbaijan, Central Asia; his grandchildren, Nicole Gibson (Darvell), Rachel Feather and Lyndsay Wimer (Joseph); two sisters, Marilyn Joyce Henry of New Bethlehem, and Margaret “Kay” Platt of Michigan; and a brother, Brady Wayne Stewart (Susan) of California.He was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen Shick, Don Eugene Stewart and James “Jack” Stewart.STEWART — Friends of Robert A. Stewart, who died Sunday, May 30, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars.Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Indiana Township, Pa.A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Bob's life will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021, at LifePointe Alliance Church.
