Raselyn K. Johnson

Rev. Raselyn K. Johnson, 66, of Saxonburg passed away May 20, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 18, 1954, in Washington, Pa., she was the daughter of Melvin Rasel Johnson and Carrie Mae King Johnson.

Raselyn served as pastor at Midland Presbyterian and New Salem Presbyterian Church in Ohioville, and West Deer Presbyterian Church, and was a longtime member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Washington, Pa.

She was an avid supporter of the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. As a pastor, her sermons often included her extraordinary gift of singing.

Surviving are three brothers, Melvin Johnson of Greeneville, Tenn., Stephen Johnson of Saxonburg, and Dan (Cynthia) Johnson of Sahuarita, Ariz.; her sister-in-law, Karen Johnson of Saxonburg; her nieces and nephews, Brenda, Barbara, Beverly, Sean, Joel, Amy and Heather; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Elaine; and her best friend, Penny.

JOHNSON — A memorial service for the Rev. Raselyn K. Johnson, who died Thursday, May 20, 2021, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021, at St. John’s Reformed Church, 493 Evans City Road, Butler.

Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
