The Butler County Chamber of Commerce and Butler Township joined forces Tuesday to host the chamber's annual Health and Wellness Fair.

This year's event was the first hosted in conjunction with the township and conducted at the General Butler Vagabonds Center, along with the township's Community Day.

“I'm thrilled with the turnout,” chamber executive director Jordan Grady said. “I think you get a taste of what's available in Butler County.”

Booths included representatives from local nonprofit organizations, such as the Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and Butler YMCA, along with health care agencies, parks organizations and local businesses. Grady said it was an opportunity for guests to find out about organizations that they may have not known about in their own backyard.

As part of the township's Community Day, area law enforcement and fire departments were also on hand with equipment for a meet-and-greet with children and families.
