Man charged with fondling girl, 13, on multiple occasions
A Lyndora man has been charged with allegedly fondling a 13-year-old girl on multiple occasions.
Timothy J. Masters, 42, was charged last week by Butler Township Police with misdemeanor indecent assault after being accused of inappropriately touching the girl.
Masters has also been charged with misdemeanors of corruption of minors, child endangerment and two counts of giving alcohol to minors. He was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Wayne Seibel, who released him on $25,000 unsecured bond.
According to charging documents, the teen's mother had arranged for the girl to stay with Masters from January until June 26. Police said the girl and mother visited the station June 21 to report multiple incidents the girl alleges happened during that time frame.
“She stated he had touched her inappropriately,” said the investigating officer.
During two interviews, the girl told officers Masters touched her private parts on both her upper and lower body on multiple occasions.
“(The girl) also disclosed that Masters purchased and provided alcohol, such as Smirnoff, margaritas and tequila to her,” police said. “(She) stated Masters encouraged and pressured her to drink the alcohol.”
Police also talked with Masters' 20-year-old son who said he had been at the house a few times when his father gave both he and the girl alcohol.
“(The son) stated Masters insisted they drink with him,” police said.
A preliminary hearing for Masters has been scheduled for July 15 before district judge Kevin O'Donnell.
