Joann Fisher

Joann Fisher

Joann Fisher, 62, of Butler Township, passed away unexpectedly May 24, 2021.

She was born Sept. 18, 1958, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of John and Dawn Soltesz.

Joann was a loving, kind soul, more than just an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, with her house adorned in black and gold, would make sure she texted her daughters every Steelers and Penguins game, “Let’s Go!” “I love you more!”

She loved working in gardens and making house plant trimmings for her neighbors. She would sit in her rocking chair listening to music and watched the birds and other animals outside. She helped many see the simple wonder and beauty of nature, and would talk in amazement about a little flower or bird she saw that day. HER GRANDCHILDREN WERE HER WORLD!

Her heart also extended to her neighbors’ children as well as always having a little knick-knack or special treat for them.

She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Diane Soltesz and Frances Soltesz.

She is survived by her sons, Earl J. Maier and Matthew A Maier; her daughters, Jennifer L. Maier-Quinn and Melissa A. Maier; her grandchildren, Matthew E. Maier and Mackenzie I. Maier; her siblings, Dawn Soltesz, Penny Soltesz, Pam Soltesz, Vickey Balough, John Soltesz and Michael Soltesz; and many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
