No new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in the county Friday, a day after the Butler Health System reported having no COVID-19 patients in Butler Memorial Hospital or Clarion Hospital.

The state Department of Health said Thursday there have been a total of 11,250 confirmed cases and the number stayed the same on Friday. Only three new confirmed cases were reported Thursday. The number of confirmed cases represents the number of people who have contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The health system said it wasn’t treating any COVID-19 patients at either of its hospitals Thursday. The health system issues COVID-19 reports on Thursdays.

No new deaths attributed to the coronavirus have been reported in the county in the last couple weeks.
