David O. Daniels

David O. Daniels

David O. Daniels, 79, of Butler, passed away May 17, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 29, 1942, in Butler, he was a son of the late Steven and Anna (Hollack) Daniels.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1961. He received a football scholarship, but chose to work at Armco Steel for 37½ years, retiring in 1999 from the silicon maintenance department.

He had always worked as a contractor in his spare time. He loved building, and he could fix absolutely anything. No job was ever too difficult for him, as he was gifted in all.

He was of the Catholic faith, and had attended St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

He longed for the companionship of his departed brother, Will. He spoke fondly of his sister, Matilda, many, many times, who preceded him in death. He was always concerned about his departed sister, Evelyn. He enjoyed his brick laying days with his departed brother, Danny. His heart was full when able to mend differences with his departed brother, Jim. He loved the phone calls from his sister, Shirley, and her sweet spoken words of prayer. He loved his friendship and heated political conversations with his brother, Eugene.

He leaves behind his everloving and devoted wife, Nancy Helen Daniels, whom he married on Aug. 24, 1966.

He also leaves behind his daughter, Sherry Ann Daniels Lindsay, who bears his resemblance in every way; his son, Kenneth David Daniels, whom he enjoyed sharing sports with; a daughter-in-law, Dr. Xingchun Tang, whom he was oh, so proud of all of her accomplishments; and most notably, the apples of his eyes, his grandsons, Ty Kenneth Daniels and Maddox David Daniels; his brother, Eugene (Betty) Daniels; and his sister, Shirley (Paul) Homa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Matilda and Evelyn; his brothers, William, Daniel and James; as well as his son-in-law, Carey William (Bill) Lindsay.

A very special thank you to the Rev. Radko Blichar from St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church.
