James Goldie Sr.

James “Jim” Thomas Goldie Sr., 58, of Valencia, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021.

Born Oct. 18, 1962, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Janet L. (Freeauf) Goldie. He was the husband of Althea (Fotheringham) Goldie.

Jim worked in sales and was a member of the Builders Association.

He enjoyed boating and motorcycles. Family was very important to him, and he was proud of the house he built on their 12 acres.

Jim is survived by his wife, Althea Goldie; his son, James T. (Rebekah Seger) Goldie Jr. of Pittsburgh; his daughter, Amanda J. (Robert) Himmler of Cranberry Township; his grandson, James Thomas Goldie III of Pittsburgh; his siblings, Joyce (Paul) Ambrose of Allison Park, Janice (Robert) Lamm of Freedom, Joseph W. (Donna) Goldie of Pittsburgh, and Judith A. Goldie of Beaver Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jay A. Goldie.

GOLDIE — The family of James “Jim” Thomas Goldie Sr., who died Sunday, May 16, 2021, will welcome friends from 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.

A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the funeral home.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life at 4 p.m. Thursday.
