Carol Ann Hagan
Carol Ann Hagan, 77, passed away unexpectedly after a short illness on April 28, 2021, with her children at her side.
Carol was born Aug. 19, 1943, in Butler, to Floy and Janet Dillmore.
She attended Butler schools and graduated from Butler High School in 1961. She attended Grove City College, and married Edward Hagan in 1962.
By September 1965, they had three children, Edward, Daniel and Jill. The family moved to Tucson, Ariz., in 1968. She and Edward were divorced in 1973. She resided in Arizona, until moving to Boise, Idaho, in 1998, to be near her children and grandchildren.
During the first 20 years of her career, she worked for the University of Arizona College of Agriculture, and then for numerous audio/visual companies, where she had roles in operations management, human resources, and training and development. Her role as the national director of training for a large multi-national company allowed her to travel nationally and internationally. After moving to Boise, she became the house operations manager for the Ronald McDonald House, until her retirement in 2009. Many long lasting friendships resulted from her work with the volunteers, while at Ronald McDonald House.
Carol was a smart, independent, generous, beautiful and athletic woman. She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother, who took care of her mother during her mother's final years.
Family gatherings at her house were the highlight of the holidays. Caring for senior dogs with health issues was her calling later in life, as she spent many enjoyable hours with her pets, most recently her beloved dog, Sara.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Floy Dillmore.
She is survived by her children, Dan and Jennifer Hagan, Jill and Pat Collins, and Ed Hagan, all of Boise; her grandchildren, Armando Hagan, Lucas Hagan, Zach Hagan, Josh Hagan, Mackenzie Collins and Sam Collins; her sisters, Jean (Don) Orloski of Butler, and Joyce (Tom) Avery of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and numerous nephews and a niece.
