A Butler man was charged Friday night for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Butler Township detectives charged Alan Free, 61, with two felony counts, including sexual assault on a child and aggravated indecent assault on a child less than 16 years old.Free also was charged with three misdemeanors, including corruption of minors, child endangerment and indecent assault.After his arraignment, Free was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bond.According to charging documents, detectives responded to a 911 call Friday about a sexual assault, encountering Free's girlfriend and her 13-year-old daughter.“(The mother) stated she had placed a camera in her daughter's bedroom due to disciplinary reasons,” said the investigating detective in the affidavit. The camera takes photos and sends them to the mother's cellphone.Detectives said the camera picked up an encounter that showed Free having sex with the girl. Detectives said they talked with the girl who corroborated what was depicted in the photographs.A tentative preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 24 before District Judge Kevin O'Donnell.
