Patricia A. Dunmire

Patricia A. Dunmire, 79, of North Washington, Pa., went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2021.

Born on Feb. 26, 1942, in Cambria County, Pa., Patricia Alice Hinkledire was the daughter of the late Mary (Lytle) and Joseph Hinkledire.

Pat married Daniel “Sonny” Dunmire on July 17, 1960.

Pat was a very loving person who adored children. After raising four of her own, she took on her first four grandchildren and raised them as well. During this time, she would also babysit for friends and neighbors. Pat was a true “Angel on Earth,” always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. In fact, Pat also was a huge giver. She would gather clothes and things from families who did not need them anymore, and distribute them to those who did. She became known around her church and neighbors as the one to go to for donating or picking up when in need. Pat’s heart was truly in line with God’s will.

She is survived by her husband, Sonny; her sons, Dan and Mary Dunmire of Ripley, W.Va., Bill and Suzanne Dunmire of San Antonio, Texas, and Frank and Teresa Dunmire of Columbus, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister who lives in Texas.

Mrs. Dunmire was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.

DUNMIRE — A memorial service for Patricia A. Dunmire, who died Friday, May 7, 2021, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury.

A small reception will follow in the church basement.
