MARS — The Mars Area School Board approved the following programs at its meeting Tuesday:

Affiliation agreement with Waynesburg University, Department of Education

Student assistance program agreement with Butler County Human Services Center for Community Resources

College Within High School Partnership agreement with Butler County Community College

Affiliation agreement with Robert Morris University for internship/practicum pre-clinical and student teaching.

Musical Theater Booster as a school-affiliated organization.

Other approved motions were:

Establishment of a high school dance team

Maximum/minimum athletic participation requirement for the 2021-22 school year

Maximum/minimum Dance Team Club participation requirements for the 2021-22 school year

The hiring of Dr. Syed Hyder as the school district’s physician and Dr. Tera DePaoli as the district’s dentist

Posting of the revised policy manual for 30 days and open to public comment.
