Robert K. Fox
Robert K. Fox, 75, of Butler, formerly of Worthington, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
Bob was born Nov. 3, 1945, at home on his parents’ farm in Worthington. He was the son of Kenneth and Mary (Baldauf) Fox.
Bob was employed by Pullman Standard until the company closed, and then went on to work at Dlubak Glass Co. for several years. He retired from U.S. Liner Co. in 2011.
Bob liked to spend his free time with his family. Together, they spent several years building a log house in Worthington. Before his father’s death, Bob enjoyed playing the fiddle and guitar with his dad. When he wasn’t with his family, he could be found on the golf course, and looked forward to his summer golf league every year.
Bob is survived by one son, John (Connie) Fox of Worthington; one daughter, Shari (James) Brewer of Chicora; four grandchildren, Kayla (Matthew) Occhiogrosso, Joshua (Trista) Fox, James (Chelsea) Brewer and Kaitlyn (Jake) Martin; three stepgrandchildren, Thomas (Shawnee) Stennett, Shawn (Julie) Stennett and Susan Brewer; five great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
He is also survived by four brothers, Henry (Mary) Fox, Owen (Bersetta) Fox, Merle Fox and John (Rowena) Fox; two sisters, Mary (Thomas) Green and Louise (William) Nulph; his companion, Karen Sintz; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Beck) Fox, whom he married in May of 1964; one stepgreat-grandchild, Zachary Stennett; and one infant brother, Kenneth Fox.
FOX — Friends of Robert K. Fox, who died Wednesday, May 5, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service, with Pastor Dave Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Worthington Lutheran Cemetery in Worthington.
