Helen Stamm

Helen Josephine Stamm, 83, of Slippery Rock, passed away at AHN-Grove City on Monday, May 3, 2021.

She was born May 20, 1937, in Monaca, to Andrew Christian Chembars and Ruth Elizabeth Maine Chembars.

She married John H. Stamm Sr. on May 16, 1958, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2016.

Helen was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Helen enjoyed quilting, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna L. (Jeff) Plutt of Butler; two sons, John H. (Carol) Stamm Jr. of Grove City, and Stephen C. (Susan) Stamm of Mercer; her sister-in-law, Linda (Tim) Shuck of Ames, Iowa; her brother-in-law, Wayne (Sue) Stamm of Grove City; 10 grandchildren, Jerrod (Amber) Seivers, Josh (Shelby) Seivers of Grove City, John Seivers of Carlisle, Shane (Brittany) Stamm of Grove City, Craig and Troy Stamm of Pittsburgh, Taylor Stamm of Prospect, Adam Plutt of Butler, and Emma and Maya Stoepfel of Mercer; and five great-grandchildren, Morgan and Kaleigh Seivers, Norah and Cale Seivers and Jack Stamm; a son-in-law, Bart Scott; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Connie S. Scott; her sister, Mary Magargee; and her brother, Joseph Chembars.

STAMM — There will be no public services at this time for Helen Josephine Stamm, who died Monday, May 3, 2021.

Interment will be in Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.

Arrangements were handled by Smith Funeral Home of Slippery Rock.

Memorial contributions may be given to Grove City Pet Rescue.
