Elmer T. Glenn, 97, of Buffalo Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the Butler VA Medical Center.

Elmer was born March 4, 1924, in Freeport, and was the son of the late Anna (Ward) and Samuel Glenn.

He worked in the maintenance department at Hampton School District for 15 years.

He was a member of Evangel Heights Assembly of God in Sarver.

Elmer served in the U.S. Army 4th Infantry Division during World War II/European conflict.

He was a member of the New Kensington VFW.He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, golfing, crossword puzzles, and most of all, spending time with his family.Elmer is survived by his son, Gary (Jenna) Glenn of Knoxville, Tenn.; and two daughters, Linda Rodriguez of Buffalo Township, and Patricia (Dale) Gunter of Gardendale, Ala.He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Norma Jean Sterling of Grove City, Ohio.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean (Hartman) Glenn; his second wife, LaVonne M. (Conery) Glenn; his grandson, Dennis Lavery Jr.; and his brothers, George and Albert Glenn.GLENN — Family and friends of Elmer T. Glenn, who died Saturday, May 1, 2021, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Evangel Heights Assembly of God, 120 Beale Road, Sarver, with Pastor Dan Corfield officiating.Burial with military honors will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PA Adult & Teen Challenge, Western PA, 33 Teen Challenge Road, P.O.
