Woman pleads guilty to disorderly conduct

CHICORA — A Butler woman on Tuesday pleaded down from a felony burglary charge at the district level.

Both the prosecution and defense came to an agreement regarding the case against Carla S. Wolfe, 46, who, according to charging documents, broke into the victim's home by shoulder-charging a door.

Instead of the burglary, Wolfe pleaded guilty to a summary offense disorderly conduct, and she agreed to pay $350 in restitution for the broken door.

Chief Public Defender Kevin Flaherty said he and his client were pleased with the offer.

“It's an opportunity to handle things here,” he said.

Wolfe returned to court within the hour to pay the restitution and court costs.

Assistant District Attorney Terri Schultz said the resolution fit the incident and the relationship between Wolfe and the victim.

“We didn't wish to pursue it further,” Schultz said.
