Evelyn MacDonald

Evelyn C. MacDonald, 92, of Butler, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at her residence.

Born June 14, 1928, in Fenelton, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Silk) Shuler.

Evelyn was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

She had worked for 10 years at the rectory of St. Paul in Butler, preparing meals for the priests.

She enjoyed playing cards and attending the Herman card parties. She also enjoyed cooking, especially making her apple pies.

Surviving are her children, Julie A. Wylie of Saxonburg, David W. MacDonald of Woodbine, Pa., and Gary L. MacDonald of Fenelton; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Gloria M. Mohan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William I. MacDonald; her son and great-grandson; and eight brothers and sisters.

MACDONALD — Friends of Evelyn C. MacDonald, who died Saturday, April 24, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler.

Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
