Charles McConahy Jr.
Charles E. “Chuck” McConahy Jr., 76, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, in the comfort of his home.
Born May 23, 1944, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Charles E. McConahy Sr. and Mary Margaret Sheidemantle McConahy.
Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. He worked as a field service representative for F.B. Leopold Co. for over 40 years until retirement. Chuck was a life member of the Hungarian Beneficial Society in Zelienople and the Zelienople American Legion Post #474.Chuck enjoyed horse racing, baseball and playing cards. He treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren who affectionately called him “Y-Pappy” and always attended their games. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Mathew McConahy of Cranberry Township and Lucas (Jenie) McConahy of Harmony; his grandson, Dylan McConahy; and his grandchildren-in-heart, Bryce, Braedan, Lexi, and Maddie Polivka; his daughter-in-law, Kellie Mills; his former wife, Karen (John) Kwiatek; and his beloved dog, Scarlet.McConahy Jr. — The family of Charles E. “Chuck” McConahy Jr., who died Tuesday, April 20, 2021, will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday with a Celebration of Life service and Military Honors beginning at 5 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
