William L. “Billy” Weaver
William L. “Billy” Weaver, 61, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Prospect, passed away unexpectedly March 31, 2021, at his residence due to natural causes.
Born March 24, 1960, in Butler, he was the son of the late Ray and Mildred Weaver.
He worked as a union construction laborer in Las Vegas.
In his younger years, he enjoyed playing youth baseball for the Prospect Boys Club and was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School.
Billy enjoyed hunting, Pittsburgh Steelers, and NASCAR racing. When his son was younger, he enjoyed coaching his son's baseball teams and volunteering with the Cub Scouts. He loved his past pet dogs Champ, Cinnamon and Zoe, and he is survived by his dog, Violet.
He is survived by his son, Justin Weaver, and his girlfriend, Cherii Manthe, of Las Vegas; brother, Donald (Sue) Weaver of Florida; two sisters, Joyce Ballew of Prospect and Grace Laderer of Texas; nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Randy (Elaine) Nocera of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Weaver, who he married Jan. 18, 1980, and who passed away Oct. 9, 2020.
WEAVER — Cremation services for William L. Weaver, who died Wednesday, March 31, 2021, were in Las Vegas. A celebration of life memorial service is being planned in the near future and will be held at his sister, Joyce Ballew's house in Prospect.
