A 9-year-old girl died in a Sunday night crash on Route 422 in Clearfield Township, according to authorities.

The name of the child and others involved in the accident have yet to be released.

According to the Butler County Coroner's office, an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Emergency crews were dispatched at 5:44 p.m. to the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving a Ford F-350 and a Honda Civic in the eastbound lane of Route 422.

State police were on the scene investigating and reconstructing the crash for nearly five hours. Crews cleared the scene around 12:38 a.m. Monday.

Firefighters stopped traffic completely between the intersections of Moran and Clearfield roads for the duration of the investigation.
