BMH records only 1 new death from COVID
While the numbers from the weekend have not yet been reported by the state, Butler Memorial Hospital reported one new death related to COVID-19 Monday. The Department of Health reported that 413 people have died from COVID-19 in total in Butler County as of Monday.
With only one death reported Friday, the number of vaccines administered continues to grow. Pennsylvania has administered 9,723,128 vaccines as of Monday, the Department of Health said.
Of those administered, 5,518,895 people have been partially vaccinated, and 4,204,233 are fully vaccinated. In Butler County, 14,906 people are partially vaccinated, and 75,833 are fully vaccinated, the health department's website says.
Butler Memorial Hospital is treating five confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, and one person is in the ICU. Clarion Hospital is treating one confirmed case as of Monday.
Butler Memorial Hospital now offers the vaccine to anyone over 12 years old at the Butler and Clarion vaccine clinics.
