Norma Jean Rice

Norma Jean Rice, 95, of Evans City, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the comfort of her home.

Born February 9, 1926, in Mars, she was the daughter of the late Albert Gilman and Julia Laurene (McElheny) Gilman.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Dennis Donaldson, Deborah (Craig) Hughes and Luann Rice; her stepchildren, Linda McGinley, Ronald Rice, Walter Rice and Lois Barlow; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her faithful companion, Harley.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Rice; her sister, Marjorie Landon; her brothers, John and Mason Gilman; and her stepson, Robert Rice.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gemma Massimiani for taking such good care of Norma over the past year.

RICE — Friends Norma Jean Rice, who died Wednesday, April 14, 2021, will be received 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 18 at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.

A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest at Evans City Cemetery.
