Helen W. Miller

Helen W. Miller, 89, of Cabot, formerly of Oneida Valley Road, West Sunbury, passed away on April 12, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

She was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Franklin Township, Westmoreland County, and was the daughter of the late Charles V. Freuchtel and the late Hazel Remaley Freuchtel.

Helen graduated in 1949 from Plum Township High School.

She was a member of Community Alliance Church.

Helen was a homemaker, and the former owner of Helen Miller Arts & Crafts that closed in 1988. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and doing word searches.

Helen is survived by her son, Keith (Joloyn) Miller of West Sunbury; three daughters, Janet (Jeff) Huff of Beaver Falls, Kerry (Rich) McKinnis of West Sunbury and Darla (Dennis) Achezinski of Arizona; 11 grandchildren, Kristi (Michael) Leiper, Glenn (Erica) Huff, Ryan (Heather) McKinnis, Christina (Corey) Shemeyla, Kevin (Amy) McKinnis, Justin Achezinski, Nathan Achezinski, Aaron Achezinski, Sarah (Nathan) Lippert, Zachary Miller and Carter Miller; 12 great-grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn B. Miller, whom she married on Jan. 12, 1952, and who passed away on March 24, 2017; and one brother, Charles V. Freuchtel Jr.

MILLER — Friends of Helen W. Miller, who died Monday, April 12, 2021, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Krajacic officiating.

Due to COVID-19 state guidelines, visitors are required to supply and to wear a facial mask and adhere to social distancing. Groups are limited to 50 people inside.

Burial will take place in Concord Cemetery, Hooker, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Missions Fund, c/o Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler, PA 16001.
