Mars Area sets Keystone dates

Mars Area High School will administer Keystone Exams on the following dates:

- May 17-18 — English literature

- May 19-20 — biology

- May 21 and 24 — algebra I

All Keystone Exams will be administered in person at Mars Area High School. Any students participating in livestream interactive instruction or attending Mars Area Cyber Academy will need to attend school on the above dates to complete the exams.

All ninth graders will take the English literature and biology exams in accordance with the above schedule. Ninth graders enrolled in algebra I will take the algebra I Keystone Exam.

Any 10th graders who were enrolled in all levels of English 9, biology or algebra I during the 2019-20 year as well as any ninth graders who were enrolled in algebra I and passed the course, will automatically receive a “proficient” score for the corresponding exam.

Those students who need to retake a Keystone Exam will be contacted by their guidance counselor.

The high school bell schedule will be altered to accommodate the exams.

Students in grades 10 through 12 will participate in virtual class meetings or in study hall during the designated testing periods.
