William L. Miller

William L. “Bill” Miller, 72, of Bruin passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born Dec. 27, 1948, in Butler, the son of Robert D. and Huguette B. (Gueslin) Miller.

Bill spent his youth in Petrolia, but lived in Bruin for most of his life. He graduated from Karns City High School in 1966, and worked at Indspec for 32 years.

Bill was a member of Petrolia Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

For many years, Bill and his wife, Cherrie, were snowbirds, and loved traveling to Florida. He was a car enthusiast, a history buff, and enjoyed playing the guitar.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Cherrie J. (Merryman) Miller, whom he married Dec. 25, 1989; his daughter, Charity S. Demit and her husband, Jeff, of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren, Savanah Gordon, Samanthia Sutton, Sarah Sutton, Jacki Sutton and DJ Sutton; and his sisters, Chantal J. Knappenberger and her husband, Fred, of Saxonburg, Charlene S. Miller of Chicora, and Bonnie Pendergast and her husband, Mike, of Pittsburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John A. and Richard Miller; and one infant brother.

MILLER — Per his request, services will be private for William L. “Bill” Miller, who died Friday, April 2, 2021.

Burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.

Arrangements are being handled by Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Petrolia.
