Beverly “Betsy” Ann Stiefel
Beverly “Betsy” Ann Stiefel, 82, of Beaver Falls, formerly of Cherry Hill in Ellwood City, passed away on March 27, 2021, at Advent Health Hospital in Wesley Chapel, Fla.
She was the daughter of the late Harry and Sylvia Brown, and was born on Nov. 8, 1938, in Ellwood City.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, James E. Stiefel; two sons, Robert J. Stiefel of Portersville, and John E. Stiefel and his wife, Amy, of Cranberry Township; and one daughter, Diane Elaine Baker and her husband, Glenn, of Prospect.
Beverly also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Shannon Swartzlander and her husband, Jeffery, Jennifer Stiefel, Zachary Stiefel, Nathan Stiefel, Jared Stiefel, and Jennie Stiefel and Sarah Baker; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Clayton Brown of West Pittsburgh, and Charlie Brown of Ellwood City.
She was a 1957 graduate of Lincoln High School.
She married the love of her life, James Stiefel on Oct. 4, 1958.
She was a member of Park Gate Baptist Church, and in recent years, attended Portersville Bible Church and Settler's Rest Church.
She will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, her fantastic sense of humor, love of reading, bicycling, bird watching, her kind spirit, and how she always encouraged others by prayer.
Beverly's life motto was to “Count your Blessings,” and put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. (Matthew 6:34)
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene “Tootsie” Gahagan and Norma Nagel; and her three brothers, Curtis “Grubb” Shoaf, Ronald Shoaf and Raymond Shoaf.
Beverly's devotion to her family, along with her firm belief and faith in God, supported her during her health problems, which ultimately gave her peace. We look forward to the day we will be reunited in Heaven.
STIEFEL — The family of Beverly “Betsy” Ann Stiefel, who died Saturday, March 27, 2021, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 500 6th St., Ellwood City.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with pastors Michael Charles and Christopher Roberts officiating.Interment will follow the funeral in Locust Grove Cemetery in Ellwood City.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Beverly's name to Portersville Bible Church, 156 E.
