Thomas D. Richards

Thomas D. Richards, 86, of Seven Fields and Gibsonia passed away on March 30, 2021.

He was born on July 9, 1934, in Hilliards, and was a son of the late Day DeWitt and Lillian Pearl Patterson Richards.

Thomas was a graduate of Thiel College, and was a paint chemist for PPG Industries for 32 years.

He was an active Mason with several lodges in Butler and across Pennsylvania, serving as secretary for decades.

He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.

Thomas was a skilled and avid bridge player. Above everything, he was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Anna J. Reimer Richards; the loving father of Thomas D. (Carrie) Richards Jr. and Darrell E. (Carrie) Richards; brother of Rebecca Cress; and the proud grandfather of Russell, Wesley, Hannah and Thomas.

RICHARDS — Friends of Thomas D. Richards, who died Tuesday, March 30, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

Funeral services will follow visitation at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul A. Becker as officiant.
