Sandra Updegraff

Sandra Lee (Fennick) Updegraff, 76, of Grove City, formerly of Slippery Rock, passed away at Orchard Manor in Grove City on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1944, in Grove City, to William Eugene Fennick and Ruth Eleanor Studebaker Fennick.

Sandra was the seventh generation of the Heinrich Studebaker lineage, according to “the Studebaker Family National Association” located in Tipp City, Ohio. Sandy was very proud of her family history.

She had worked as office manager for Servistar Hardware in Slippery Rock, for over 26 years, and was loved by her Servistar family members and many friends.

A graduate of Slippery Rock High School, Sandy enjoyed many hobbies, including quilting, knitting, bowling, golfing and scrapbooking.

She had attended Slippery Rock United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruth E. (James) Updegraff-McKnight of Grove City; her son, Kevin S. (Amy) Updegraff of Mesa, Ariz.; her brother, Ronald (Cheryl) Fennick of New Castle; her granddaughter, Morgan Updegraff of Grove City; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, George.

UPDEGRAFF — There will be no public services for Sandra Lee (Fennick) Updegraff, who died Thursday, March 25, 2021.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Slippery Rock Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 117, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
