Cynthia Ann “Tiny” Aust

Cynthia Ann “Tiny” Aust, 85, of West Sunbury, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the Chicora Medical Center Chicora.

She was born July 4, 1935, in Altoona, to Augustus and Alberta Voltz.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Aust.

She is survived by her two children, Diana Marie Ford of Conway, S.C., and Michael Aust of West Sunbury; her daughter-in-law, Rebekah Aust of Saxonburg; one remaining sister, Mary “Nina” Jennings of New Philadelphia, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Augustus Voltz, and her mother, Alberta; a brother, Theodore; and her sisters, Phyllis, Dorthea and Layle.

Cynthia was a Christian, and a dedicated mother to her two children and housewife to her husband, who served in the military for 42 years. She was always pleasant with a cute smile that lifted up those around her, accompanied by a laugh and demeanor that was infectious to all.

She loved to cook, spoiling her children on great tasting food, and sewing many of her own dress clothes in her youth.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and children, including cruises in the Caribbean, trips to Las Vegas for Elvis tribute shows, and Myrtle Beach.

AUST — A remembrance service for Cynthia Ann “Tiny” Aust, who died Thursday, March 25, 2021, will be held for family and friends by GraceWay Community Church.
