Dennis Eifler
Dennis “Denny” Raymond Eifler, 70, formerly of the North Side passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 18, 2021, in Sarasota, Fla.
Born Jan. 10, 1951, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Walter Harry Eifler and Catherine Madeline McGuire Eifler.
Denny was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran.He was a faithful member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.Denny was a devoted law enforcement officer for more than 40 years. He finished his career as a special agent with the Norfolk Southern Police Department.He was the former president and one of the founding members of the Allegheny County Camp Cadet, and a former representative of the Pittsburgh Fraternal Order of Police.Denny enjoyed working out at the gym. He also loved following his grandson's baseball career.Denny will be remembered for loving a good laugh, his practical jokes and enjoying a delightful glass of wine. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 51 years, Mary Dolores Baust Eifler, whom he married on Aug. 9, 1969; his son, Christopher (Christina) Eifler of Zelienople; his two grandchildren, Landon and Olivia; his siblings, David Eifler of West View, and Susan (William) Racke of Zelienople; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his brother, Doug.EIFLER — Friends of Dennis “Denny” Raymond Eifler, who died Thursday, March 18, 2021, will be received from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Rev. John P.
