Susan “Susie” Urish Bell, 65, of Chicora and formerly of Osceola Mills, Pa., died on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at her home.

Born on July 20, 1955, in Philipsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Margaret K. (Scovern) Urish.

She was married to Drew Bell on July 27, 1985, in Butler, and he survives at home.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Susie was a retired captain of the Pennsylvania State Police, Butler Troop D, with 22 years of service, and had been a postal mail carrier in Osceola Mills.

She was a member of the F.O.P. in Butler, was an avid quilter and she really enjoyed her vacations in Maine.

She was a 1973 graduate of Philipsburg Osceola High School, and she held a B.S. degree in health, physical education and recreation from Penn State University.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three brothers, Joseph A. Urish and his wife, Colleen, of Butler; Gerald Urish and his wife, Cherre, of Grassflat, Pa.; and John Urish and his wife, Marian, of Rossiter, Pa.; and her brothers-in-law, Keith Bell and his wife, Mary, of Butler, and Eric Joel Bell and his wife, Pat, of Butler.

BELL — Private services for Susan “Susie” Urish Bell, who died Saturday, March 20, 2021, will be held at the convenience of the family at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Osceola Mills, Pa., with Deacon Dennis Socash officiating.

Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Osceola Mills, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 408 Stone St., Osceola Mills, PA 16666.
