MSA volunteers help facilitate clinic
More than 75 volunteers from MSA in Cranberry Township helped facilitate a mass COVID-19 vaccine event Tuesday at The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Tarentum, Allegheny County.
Allegheny Health Network said a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine was available for up to 7,000 people at the event, which also featured a walk-in segment in the afternoon.
Nish Vartanian, MSA’s chairman and CEO, was among those from the safety appliance company to volunteer at the event.
The MSA volunteers will return to the location May 11, where Tuesday’s first-time vaccine recipients will receive their second dose.
Vartanian said MSA is proud to do their part in furthering the success of the vaccine.
AHN has distributed more than 300,000 vaccine doses to date, according to a news release on Tuesday.
