June Ema (Baldwin) Miller, Obit

June Ema (Baldwin) Miller entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 18, 2021, after a brief non-COVID-19 illness, surrounded in love by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred (Rothfuss) and Colin Baldwin; her loving husband, Harold James Miller Sr.; and her beloved granddaughter, Kyla LeeAnne Miller.

She leaves behind her brother, Colin Baldwin Jr. and wife, Antoinette; her children, Harold James Jr. and wife, Darla (Morrison), Randy Lee and wife, Stephanie (Molchan), Dana Lee (Christine Thayer-Miller), and Jeffrey Alan; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1951, and worked as a keypunch operator until her marriage to Harold on July 20, 1957.

June and Harold were part of the original Fernway community when they moved into their home in 1958, where their address changed numerous times without ever leaving their home.

She worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson's on the PA Turnpike, and was a long-term employee of the PA Lottery Commission at Mars Drug Store.

Until a brain injury in 1997 curtailed her activities, she lived a life of service through many school clubs as a Sunday school teacher for St. John's UCC in Evans City, a Boy Scout den mother, the Cranberry Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as president, WELCA, secretary at Zion Lutheran Church in Harmony, and as an auxiliary member of the Cranberry Elks Lodge 2249.

She was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan.

During her final years, she lived in Hanover, Pa., near her oldest children, where she regaled the staff at her skilled care home with her quick wit and unending jokes.

MILLER — Public visitation for June Ema (Baldwin) Miller, who died Thursday, March 18, 2021, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A family only visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday followed by the funeral service at noon with Pastor Peggy Suhr-Barkley officiating.
