Allen D. McCullough

Allen D. McCullough, 94, formerly of Bradford, Pa., passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, while under the care of Shenango on the Green in New Wilmington, Pa.

Born March 24, 1926, in East Hickory, Pa., he was the son of the late Paul C. McCullough and Lillian L. Paul McCullough.

Allen grew up in Bradford, Pa., and served in the Philippines until 1946 with the U.S. Army Air Corps.He graduated from Westminster College in 1950, with a bachelor of business administration degree, and married Margaret “Peggy” Engle on March 30,1951.Allen retired as Beachwood City Schools superintendent in 1987, and enjoyed life with Peggy and their ever-growing family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Allen leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Norma E. Baker; his five children, Jeffrey A. McCullough, Jody A. (John) Rosenberger, Jill L. McCullough, Jennifer L. McCullough and Jocelyn A. McCullough-Brindo; his grandchildren, Ashley, Jack, Britta, Sylvia, Abigail, Mary, Meghan, Anna, Kaitrin, Mae, Sam and Drake; and his great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Ryder, Rafael, Aida, Teagen, River, Isla, Penny, Lorelei, Oliver, Hank, Jamie, Charlotte, Ben, Ivy, Amelia, Kit and Rafe; his niece, Nora Stewart; and his nephew, Tim Baker.In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret “Peg” (Engle) and his brother, Paul E. McCullough.MCCULLOUGH — Family and friends of Allen D. McCullough, who died Saturday, March 13, 2021, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Claire Megles officiating.Allen will be laid to rest with full military honors at Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WKHR, a nonprofit radio station operated by donations and volunteers.
