Emma Speca Webb

Emma Speca Webb, 82, of Middlesex Township died peacefully at home on March 9, 2021.

She was born on March 4, 1939, in Carnegie, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caterina Balestra Speca.

Emma was the beloved wife for 58 years of David A. Webb; loving mother of Geoffrey Webb, Daniel Webb and Joseph (Karen) Webb; sister of the late Maxine Recchio, Agnes Weber, Angelo Speca and Benjamin Speca; dear grandmother of Olivia, Hannah, David, Jacob, Cortney, Morgan, Benjamin, Joseph, Mary, Max and Anna; and the great-grandmother of Patrick and Avery.

Emma was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University, and earned a master’s degree in education at Clarion University.

Early on, she taught with Lorain City Schools in Lorain, Ohio, Moniteau School District in northern Butler County, and for 25 years, she taught home economics at Mars Area Middle School in Mars.

Emma enjoyed sewing and making clothing for friends, family and for her classes in school.

She was a longtime parishioner of Holy Sepulcher Church.

Emma enjoyed traveling, socializing, and accompanying her husband, David to his many professional technical organization conferences and events, where she was a de facto ambassador, always welcoming friends and colleagues with her warm and constant smile.

Most of all, Emma fiercely loved her family, children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

WEBB — Friends of Emma Speca Webb, who died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Sepulcher Church.

Interment will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler, PA 16002.
