Lavern Wolfe
Lavern E. Wolfe, of Butler, left this world on Sunday, March 7, 2021, to be with his heavenly Father.
Lavern was born in Butler on Jan. 3, 1937. He was the son of Clarence K Wolfe and Orline A. (Reinhold) Wolfe.
He was an honor graduate of Butler Area Senior High School in 1954, Robert Morris School of Accounting in 1958, and attended Grove City College.
Lavern was employed in the accounting department of Heckett Engineering, Struthers Wells Corporation, St. John’s Lutheran Home, and St. Barnabas. He was a member of Intersection Community Church, which was formerly Christ Outreach Church.
Lavern is survived by a sister, Carol A. (William) Blaine of Chicago; a brother, Gary A. (Betty) Wolfe of Johnson City, Tenn.; a sister-in law, Carole A. Wolfe of Allison Park; 11 nieces and nephews, Paula Cahill, Marnie McGaughy, Ted Wolfe, Clarice Brenner, Russell Wolfe, Van Wolfe, Jessica Gottsman, Penny Rimzius, Kris Marsheck, Rick Wolfe, and Jeff Wolfe; and 31 grand-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert C. Wolfe and Donald L. Wolfe; one sister-in-law, Mathilda A. Wolfe; and one grand nephew, Noah R. Wolfe.
He will always be remembered for his kindness and gifts to all his family members.
Wolfe — Services for Lavern E. Wolfe, who died Sunday, March 7, 2021, are private and handled by Thompson Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Entombment is in the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery Mausoleum in Ellwood City.
