Richard McGuire
Richard N. “Dick” McGuire, 89, of Karns City, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, in Parker Personal Care Home.
He was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Chicora, and was the son of the late James McGuire and the late Lillian Lucetta Frederick McGuire.
He was a truck driver for Black and White Trucking for 25 years, retiring March 3, 1987.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chicora, was an avid hunter and was a member of Whitetails Unlimited Sportsman Club in Tionesta.
He is survived by three sons, James and Darla McGuire of Butler, Tom and Tracy McGuire of Chicora, and Dan McGuire of Karns City; a daughter, Sonya and Fred Slagle of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin grandsons.
MCGUIRE — Friends of Richard N. “Dick” McGuire, who died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Lewis, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Chicora officiating.
Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
